I’m Jeff Heiserman, a strategic UX researcher, designer, and product-minded leader with more than 20 years of experience shaping digital products.

My career began in Communication Design (BFA), where I learned the craft of visual storytelling and problem solving.

Over time, I found myself drawn toward the deeper question behind every design challenge: What do users truly need, and how do we align that with business goals? That question has guided my work ever since.

Along the way, I’ve added tools to my toolkit—earning a SCRUM Master certification and building a strong foundation in agile product development. This mix of design expertise and product thinking helps me collaborate effectively across teams, balancing creativity with pragmatism to deliver meaningful outcomes.

I’ve had the privilege of working with both nimble startups and Fortune 500 companies, leading projects that span the full product lifecycle. Whether running generative research to uncover unmet needs, facilitating journey mapping sessions to align stakeholders, or iterating on interaction design through usability testing, I approach every phase with curiosity, rigor, and empathy for the user.

Colleagues often describe me as someone who brings clarity to ambiguity. I enjoy breaking down complex challenges into actionable insights and guiding teams toward solutions that feel both intuitive and impactful. I set high standards for my own work, but I’m also deeply committed to collaboration and continuous improvement—because the best outcomes are rarely the product of one person alone.

At the core, I believe great design is about people. It’s about listening carefully, questioning assumptions, and crafting experiences that genuinely improve lives. That’s the mindset I bring to every project, and it’s why I love what I do.
